A Michigan teenager survived a school shooting that left him dead. He impressed the judges and audience with a memorable audition. “America’s Got Talent.”

The teenager went through a frightening ordeal last November when Ethan Crumbley, 16, allegedly shot four students at Oxford High School to death.
Crumbley’s parents were charged with involuntary manslaughter in the shooting. All members of the family are currently awaiting trial, and all have pleaded not guilty.
“My brother and I were part of the Oxford school shooting, and we’ve lost four of our students and seven others were injured,”The judges were informed by Swiss
Nervous Swiss FaceTimed her brother shortly before the performance. She told her story with great dignity when she got up on stage.
“My brother and I, we were talking to each other and we said there’s no way we’re ever stepping foot back in the school. But we’ve actually been in person in school for about two months now, so things are getting better,” Swiss said.
Swiss’s mother choked up as she watched her daughter’s performance from the wing. The audience stood ovation for her performance when she was done.
Swiss says singing the song she chose helps her remember that there’s still good in the world.
