What is It? ‘Pearl’
Pearl is an upcoming animated series from Markle and Prince Harry’s Archewll Productions. The Suitsstar is one six executive producers. Amanda Synda is the other. The Loud HouseShowrunner: Among the producers is David Furnish, Elton John’s husband and producer of Gnomeo & Juliet.
In a Press releaseMarkle, last July, described the coming to age story. “I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix, and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history.” The project is one of the first from Archewell production’s multi-year deal with Netflix.
We need your help
Netflix needs people to work on the show. It published earlier this week. A job listingLinkedIn is looking for a full-time production design. According to the posting, “We are seeking a Production Designer for Pearl, a CG heartfelt adventure comedy series. Pearl comes from the mind of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and centers on the adventures of a 12-year-old girl who finds inspiration in a variety of influential women throughout history.”
The applicant will support and create the artistic visions of the executive producers. He or she will also be closely working with Synda. Netflix is looking for someone who has 3-5 years experience in CG and who can draw, light, and write.
What’s On The Way?
Tabloids have been speculating endlessly about the future of Archewll and Netflix. Central RecorderReports of a fly on a wall documentary series were denied by a spokesperson for the couple. “The Duke and Duchess are not taking part in any reality shows.”
A New IdeaThe partnership claimed that nothing would happen, and the royals were dumped by Netflix. This job posting refutes the pathetic story.
Markle seems to be focusing on Pearl, Harry’s attention is on the Invictus Games. It’s a worldwide event where wounded veterans compete. Harry is close to Orlando von Einseidel as he works on the docuseries.
The GamesThe release date was originally set for 2020 but COVID-19 forced a delay to 2024. No release dates have been announced for any projects, but you’ll probably see Pearl first. The Sussexes will use their immense platform to highlight causes they care about: Invictus, feminism.
