After a mysterious animal visited her Pennsylvania property, a Pennsylvania woman was the talk of Keystone State.
Christina Eyth says she saw paw prints outside of her door recently and followed the tracks, thinking it could be a neighbor’s lost dog. When she came closer to the animal, she realized it was afraid and cold. She took it in.
She claimed that she called animal control, and they took the creature in for treatment. They also did genetic testing. They will keep the mysterious creature in isolation until they receive the results.
Wildlife Works, the vet, has posted updates on Facebook about the animal.
“We hope that when the treatment improves and hair grows in, we will be able to properly identify him.” Until then, we are waiting for the DNA results,” says Morgan Barron, a wildlife rehabilitator for Wildlife Works, told Inside Edition. “It is not unusual [to identify] the animal but it makes it difficult with mange condition at this time of year.”
Barron tells Inside Edition she believes it is a coyote, but the animal’s behavior was dog-like.
