Robert Irwin, the son of late Australian television presenter Steve Irwin and zookeeper Steve Irwin, worried people with social media posts by dressing up as the Irwins. “Milwaukee Cannibal” Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween.

But he was dressed in Dwight Schrute’s US version of The Office.

One wrote: “I’m absolutely obsessed !!!! Gold! #Dwightschrute #jim.”

“I love the office.” another added.

But, some immediately confused him for the notorious serial killer Dahmer, with one writing: “Why is he looking like Jeffrey Dahmer?”

Dahmer’s story was recently shared in the Netflix series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

Others thought Robert was the notorious serial killer at first but soon realised he wasn’t.

“It was JD at first, but then Office music began and I was relieved.” one added while another wrote: “Jesus, dude, I felt Dahmer vibes the first time I saw you.”

Robert has not acknowledged or discussed the confusion in his comments. However, with the idea it was more of an error for those who misunderstood the costume, he might feel that he doesn’t have to address it.

After an encounter with a Stingray, Steve Irwin lost his life tragically in 2006.

Robert and Bindi Sue, their sister, share the same passion for animals as their dad. They also manage the family zoo in Australia.
