‘Lord of the Rings’: The Rings of Power Sets Theatrical Fan Screenings

Middle-earth may be going from film to television with Amazon’s new series “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” but it turns out that that doesn’t mean the franchise is done with the big screen. Two days before the streaming debut on Amazon Prime Video, the show will screen its first episode at fan events all over the world on August 31.

Amazon will show the series at locations outside the U.S. and Canada. This includes the United Kingdom and Ireland, Australia, Colombia, Colombia, Australia, New Zealand, and Argentina. According to reports, the fan event will take place in around 200 locations worldwide.
