Kevin Spacey Pleads not Guilty to All Counts Sexual Assault

Kevin Spacey appeared at the U.K.’s historic Old Bailey criminal court on Thursday morning, where he pleaded not guilty to all five counts of sexual assault.

Kevin Spacey Fowler is the actor being charged. He wore a light-blue suit and tie, and walked through Court 1 via the front entrance. He was accompanied by security.

At the judge’s direction, Spacey gave his name, address and entered a plea of “not guilty”To all five counts.

The U.K. charges against Spacey consist of four counts of sexual assault against three men — now in their 30s and 40s — between 2005 and 2013. He was also charged with “causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.”

Spacey’s U.K. trial will begin on June 6, 2023, and is expected to last for three to four weeks.

The actor appeared last month at Westminster Magistrates Court in order to decide whether his case would go to trial there or, as required for more serious offenses to be tried, to be sent to the crown court.

Tan Ikram, the deputy chief magistrate, decided that the case needed to be heard at a crown court. He booked a Southwark Crown Court hearing for plea preparation. However, the venue was quietly changed to the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales — nicknamed the Old Bailey — two days ago. Although no reason was given, the Old Bailey is often the venue for high-profile cases.

This venue has also been featured in many TV and film productions, including in “V for Vendetta” and the director’s cut of “Justice League,”Wonder Woman is played by Gal Gadot and foils a terrorist plot at court.
