Juventus ready to sell Aaron Ramsey on a free with three Premier League clubs on alert

Aaron Ramsey will reportedly be allowed to leave Juventus for free with a trio of Premier League clubs keeping tabs on the midfielder.

Ramsey left Arsenal to join the Serie A side in 2019 but has struggled to settle in Italy and found his game time severely limited.

In his first two seasons with the Turin club he played just 65 times, the vast majority of those appearances coming from off the bench.

His situation hasn’t changed this campaign under new manager Max Allegri and although his contract runs until 2023, Juve are reportedly ready to let him go for free in the January transfer window.

That’s according to Central Recorder, who report West Ham, Everton and Newcastle were already ‘on alert’ about a potential move for the Wales international.

However, there is an issue with the 31-year-old – and that is his current deal has him earning megabucks.

He had turned down several contracts extensions with Arsenal before his departure and as a result pocketed himself a jaw-dropping £400k-a-week contract, as per reports at the time.

Will Aaron Ramsey still be up to playing in the Prem? Let us know in the comments section.

It’s understandable then why Juve want to shift Ramsey off their books as soon as possible.

If he wants a move back to the Prem then he will have to take a significant pay cut as no club would offer him anywhere near that amount.

The likes of the Hammers, the Toffees and the Magpies would likely only be able to hand out a deal much nearer the £100k mark.

The 31-year-old was one of the Premier League’s star players while at Arsenal but struggled with injuries too

Any move would also carry a risk factor as Ramsey is prone to injury, as shown when he spent several spells on the sidelines while with the Gunners.

He did prove to be a very valuable asset at the Emirates, though, scoring 65 goals and registering 65 assists in 371 appearance in all competitions.

Ramsey was with the north London club for 11 years and in that time helped them to win three FA Cup trophies and two Community Shields.
