Derick and Jill Dillard were thrilled to welcome their third baby this week. Frederick Michael, a baby boy, has been added to their family. Although he was born earlier that they expected, they are so happy that he is now healthy.
The details
Frederick was born July 7, at 5:16 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces, and measured 20 inches in length. They told fans, “Frederick means ‘Peaceful Ruler’Michael is the definition ‘Gift from God.’” They also mentioned that Frederick is just an extension of Derick’s father’s name, Rick. They also added “We were excited to settle on the name Frederick and incorporated both Derick’s and his dad’s name, but just adding ‘Fre’ to the beginning of Derick’s name.”
Jill had C-section to deliver the baby and it was supposed that the baby would arrive in July or August. However, it appears that he was almost ready! They both are doing great and should be able come home from the hospital within a few days. The doctors are ensuring that everyone is ready for departure, so it looks like they’re currently bonding with each other.
Their Growing Family
Jill and Derick tried to avoid the reality TV spotlight for many years. Derick claims that his wife didn’t get any money from her dad while she was on the show along with her large, Duggar clan. They created a family blog to share their opinions about their famous family members.
Samuel and Israel are five and seven years respectively. Jill is very excited about the third child. She has also been open about her miscarriage last year. We are sending Jill a lot love and happiness as she is thrilled to welcome a new son into her family.
