In fact, he featured so much in her renovations that Alan had his own workshop on her property. In 2022, Alan built her dining room table, which her followers loved. He even got a shout out from Mrs Hinch’s best friend Stacey Solomon, who said it was “so beautiful”.

On May 8, 2024, Sophie revealed her beloved dad had passed away “suddenly, yet peacefully.” Her father actually died on April 25, 2024, but his grieving daughter waited until she was ready to share the sad news with her fans. In April 2023, Sophie revealed how she was taking a break social media after her dad ended up in the hospital. She said at the time: “My dad is in the hospital at the moment guys. My dad has never been blessed shall we say with fantastic health – from his chest, his lungs, his heart. He’s always struggled you know.” She heartbreakingly added: “I just want him to be happy.”

What Has Sophie Hinchcliffe Said About Her Dad, Alan’s Passing?

Sharing the heartbreaking news on Instagram of her father’s death, Sophie paid tribute to Alan. She posted on Instagram, “25th April 2024. My precious Dad passed suddenly but so peacefully whilst he slept. My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down. A deep unimaginable pain I cannot put into words. My loving Dad, Your workshop is locked up, and I sleep with the key. I promise to keep your workshop dream going. Until we meet and sing together again. Goodnight Dad. My absolute king. Your Bubberloo.” She then shared the quote: “Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.”
