The message of the operating system is: “To resume use of your device as quickly as possible, turn it off, move it to a cooler environment (away from direct sunlight) and allow it to cool down.”

Experts in mobile warn you not to leave your phone in a hot vehicle.

“Leaving one of your gadgets in a car is another surefire way to get it seriously overheated,” Uswitch warns.

“So make sure you take them with you when you’ve parked up.”

You should also make sure your phone is set to low battery mode or airplane mode in order to prevent overheating. This will prevent the phone from consuming too much power.

It can be helpful to get rid of the phone case. A better option is to keep it in your purse or outside in the open.

You should not place your device in the freezer or fridge if you want it to cool down quickly. You could damage your phone further by allowing condensation to build up.

Instead, cool down your technology by placing it in front or in a dark spot.
