Some companies are just now starting to lean into ad-supported content, but Roku has been offering free shows and movies for years. Roku Channel is a streaming service that has been in existence since 2017. It has a huge library with tens to thousands of movies and shows. It also features a number of live channels, with more being added all the time.
This month features one of The Roku Channel’s biggest infusions of live channels to date. This week, 36 linear channels were launched on the service, including two AMC channels and a PGA Tour channel. Great British Baking Show channel.
