Halloween ends on Peacock the same date as theaters

John Carpenter’s 1978 masterpiece Halloween introduced the world to Michael Myers. In 2022, he’s still the boogeyman thanks to Halloween Ends.

There are many iconic slashers, including Chucky and Leatherface. But none is as well-known as the masked Michael. The franchise has been monumental and audiences were thrilled to be welcomed back to Haddonfield for a legacy sequel courtesy of David Gordon Green’s Halloween in 2018.

The sequel – Halloween Kills – was somewhat divisive when it was released in 2021 but that hasn’t prevented the third instalment in David’s new trilogy from being one of the most anticipated horror movies of the year.

A final trailer has given audiences a lot to digest but one of the questions to emerge is actually a practical one… will Halloween Ends be on Peacock?

What will Halloween be like for Peacock?

Yes, Halloween Ends is available on Peacock at the same time as theaters on Friday October 14th 2022.

The movie can only be streamed to those who have a Peacock Premium account. This costs $4.99 per monthly. It’s not available to those accessing Peacock for free.

So, viewers can choose to watch Michael’s latest chapter at home or on the big screen upon initial release.

The film begins four years after Halloween Kills. It reunites us all with Laurie, who is now living with Allyson while she writes her memoir. However, a young man is accused of killing the child he was babysitting and talk of Michael’s return plagues Haddonfield.

Is he really back? Or is there something else going on at work? Well, there’s only one way to find out.

‘We don’t really explain that’

Although it is a bold move to skip four years from the Halloween Kills’ ending, David explained his decision in a conversation. Total Film.

“We don’t really explain that,”He speaks out. “It’s like: I don’t want to see where Jaws goes to sleep at night when I’m watching a shark movie. I want to see him when he pops up, and he’s got an appetite!”

Taking this into account, perhaps it’s worth reassessing expectations and just accepting the time jump.

Including Halloween Ends, the Halloween franchise offers 13 instalments in total, although there are a small handful of different timelines and there’s Rob Zombie’s remake and its sequel.
