Grey’s Anatomy: How Lucas Hiding His True Identity Is Setting Up An Awkward Confrontation

Spoiler alert! This story contains spoilers Grey’s Anatomy’s Season 19 episode “Wasn’t Expecting That.” Be sure you’re caught up before you keep reading!

Grey’s AnatomyThe Season 19 premiere threw viewers off-guard when it revealed that one the Five new surgeons, Lucas AdamsIn fact, he was the The nephew of the great, late Derek Shepherd. This makes him the nephew Amelia Shepherd, and while this is apparently a well-known fact amongst the more senior surgeons at Grey Sloan, it’s a relationship that he has chosen not to disclose to his fellow rookie colleagues. The October 13 episode. “Wasn’t Expecting That,”Miscommunications that could have been filmed for sitcoms were made, and they are setting Amelia (and Lucas) up for an awkward confrontation when the truth is revealed. And it will.

While Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) was pessimistic in the season premiere about Lucas (Niko TerhoShe was able to endure the program and her tone changed in Episode 2. She expressed concern that he was living outside of the on-call area, and even invited him to stay at the house. Meredith’s house for a couple of days. Later she pulled him aside to show him an apartment she’d found that was close to their house, meaning that he could spend time with the kids, do laundry, and have a Meredith-cooked meal.

It happens so that Other first-years Blue (Harry Shum Jr.)He witnessed them leaving the on call room together, later he saw them talking about the apartment. He leapt to his obvious conclusion. Grey’s Anatomy() That Lucas was in bed with Amelia. “Don’t call me Skywalker”Directly, he boldly declared it to all of the Unknowing internsThe day was over. Lucas apparently wanted to keep his familial relationship a secret so badly that it was not disputed.

This is absurd to me, and it will certainly not bring about anything good. I completely understand why Lucas wouldn’t want everyone to know his true identity. He didn’t make the strongest first impression, and his connection to Derek and Amelia — not to mention Chief of Surgery Meredith and Maggie, by extension — would make his hiring look like the very definition of nepotism. But is that actually better than allowing a rumor to circulate that you’re SLEEPING WITH YOUR AUNT?

I don’t know how the truth is going to come out, but rest assured, it will, and it is not going to be pretty. When it happens, he will not only have to face the nepotism allegations and any other accusations that were coming his way, but he’ll also have to explain why he thought that people believing he was a hookup with Amelia was better. Lucas, you’re making poor choices. McDreamy would not approve.

This absurd scenario will continue for how long before Lucas’ connections with the hospital are revealed. We’ll have to tune in to find out. Grey’s AnatomyAt 9 p.m., the program will be back on ABC. ET Thursday, October 20, ABC. Check out our other premieres coming soon 2022 TV Program.
