Galvea Kelly is the First Chief Marketing Officer Spotter

Spotter is a startup that offers YouTube creators cash to help them monetize their videos. Galvea Kelly was hired as its first chief market officer by Spotter.

Kelly served most recently as CMO at Collective, an online concierge platform for self-employed Americans. The award-winning marketing exec has also held global leadership positions for brands including L’Oreal, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and Chobani. This native Irish woman started her career in advertising and marketing by creating her own digital agency.

As Spotter’s first CMO, Kelly is tasked with driving growth and engagement across the company’s creator community and leading its marketing and advertising initiatives. In the next few months, Kelly plans to hired more than 25 staffers to support the company’s growth.

“Galvea has demonstrated exceptional leadership and an outstanding track record of building and scaling some of the world’s most recognizable brands and communities globally,”Spotter founder and CEO Aaron DeBevoise stated in a statement. “On top of her outstanding professional success, Galvea brings with her a passion for storytelling and enhancing community.”

Spotter’s latest hire is Kelly. The startup has appointed Rob Gabel (founder of Tubular Labs) as chief strategy officers. YouTube veteran Derek Reynolds will be EVP for legal and business affairs. Damon Berger formerly worked with WildBrain will be EVP for business development. Kelly will report to Monica Khan as head of creator community. She was previously employed by Meta and YouTube.

Kelly made the following statement in a statement “As a leader in the creator economy movement, Spotter is fueling the ecosystem and revolutionizing the creator journey. I am beyond proud to join Spotter and support creators’ effort to scale their businesses. I’m excited to partner with Aaron and the team — together we will provide even more value and resources to all creators.”

Spotter claims it has paid out more than $400million to YouTube creator partners like MrBeast (aka Jimmy Donaldson), Dude Perfect, and Like Nastya. The company was founded in 2019 and has a valuation of $1.7 billion. Investors include Softbank and Mark Bezos. Spotter claims it plans to invest $1 billion in the next 18 months with creators.
