AFTER another explosive Fortnite season finale, the servers are down once again for a hefty update.
Fortnite Season 7 Operation Sky Fire, a once-in-a-lifetime event, was completed over the weekend. Players are eagerly anticipating the next chapter.

The TL;DR version is that players were sent to the Mothership to set off a bunch of bombs and destroy it.
Dr. Slone decided to abandon the infiltration group and flee the scene because Kevin the Cube appeared to be aboard.
The giant cube, which was originally purple in its evil purple form, is blueized by the players. However that doesn’t make it any easier as there are many purple cubes aboard.
The island is now littered in cubey destruction after a huge explosion.
Fortnite Season 8 is set to launch within hours. After the event, the servers were shut down.
The new season will be live on Monday, September 13. Downtime started last night.
According to the official Fortnite server status, it’s still ongoing, but we’re expecting the game to be back up and running in the next few hours.
Maintenance began at 11pm PST / 2am ET/ 7am GMT / 8am EEST. Fortnite should resume normal operation by 5am PT/ 8am ET / 1pm BST/ 2pm CEST.
