Fans say Beyoncé’s Cozy lyrics are an ode to the Pride flag

As pointed out by a number of fans, many of Beyoncé’s tracks from her album Renaissance are an ode to her LGBTQ+ fanbase.

Queen B’s new album made waves on streaming platforms with several hit songs like Break My Soul, Alien Superstar, Virgo’s Groove, among others.

The singer’s seventh studio album was released on Thursday night after she confirmed that she had been working on the project for some time.

Cozy is one track that has been a big hit on social media. Some fans pointed out that the lyrics are the Pride flag.

Beyoncé’s track Cozy is the second one in her seventh studio album and has already managed to get a comfortable spot in music charts.

The single, and the album as a whole, has been read by many listeners as an ode to the LGBTQ+ community as many found references in the lyrics and album’s cover art.

Queen B sings in the second verse of Cozy:

Blue like the soul that I crowned
Purple was a favorite color and so were couture gowns
A shade God made, gold fangs
Blue, brown, white, and black
Use cinnamon to make the town red

She ends the verse by adding the following line: “Rainbow gelato in the streets.”

Well, it is not just this fan’s assumption as Queen B addressed the inspiration behind her album and wrote on her Website: “A big thank you to my Uncle Jonny. He was my godmother and the first person to expose me to a lot of the music and culture that serve as inspiration for this album.”

The lyrics are received with enthusiasm by the fans

Cozy has already landed in fans’ top charts and many have shared their thoughts about the track on Twitter.

Renaissance consists of 16 tracks in total, including the previously-released Break My Soul, among others titled I’m That Girl, Alien Superstar and Virgo’s Groove.

Queen B also released official merchandise, including hoodies, several shirts in different prints, posters and hats.

Beyoncé also released two editions of the Renaissance vinyl on her website. The first edition was calledLimited Editionand it was sold out hours after its release.
