Drake, a Canadian Rapper has cancelled Young Money Reunion after testing positive to Covid-19.
The concert, which featured Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne was set to take place August 1. Today’s reunion concert was a part of the October World Weekend Festival, a five day music event happening in Drake’s hometown of Toronto, Canada.
Drake took to Instagram to announce the cancellation and to apologize. He reminded fans to look out for a reschedule at the end of the show. “SOONEST date possible.”
On the first and second days of October World Weekend, Lil Baby and Chris Brown performed. There was also a strong presence of Canadian artists.
This postponement is one of many by Canadian musicians. Justin Bieber had several Toronto shows cancelled due to illness in June. Due to the Rogers network outage, singer The Weekend had to cancel several shows.
