- In recent weeks, the Kardashian-Jenner clan has made headlines with their impeccable wedding ceremony etiquette.
- Insider spoke with Elaine Swann, an expert in etiquette, to discuss the behavior of stars.
- Swann explained to Insider that the family was guilty of many faux pas, mainly because of the clothes they wore.
Recent celebrity nuptials included those of Simon Huck, Lauren Perez, and Paris Hilton.
They ignored etiquette rules as they watched their friends, who were famously saying “I do,” asetiquette expertA former wedding coordinator Elaine SwannInsider.
Swann said that Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian West and Kendall Jenner made poor styling choices at their recent weddings.
“You do not want to choose anything that’s going to outshine the bride or the groom,”Swann speaks of the attire for wedding guests “This is their special day. It’s important for us to support them and make sure that even the attire we select does not detract from the bride or groom.”
This means that “skin-bearing attire is an absolute no,”Swann stated.
Jenner, who was a Bridesmaid, wore a black dress with daring cutouts at Perez’s wedding reception. Kardashian West wore an elegant gown with a plunging neckline to Huck’s nuptials.
Swann said that both outfits violated etiquette rules. Jenner’s was more attention-grabbing.
“I did see that some of the other bridesmaids had changed out of their bridesmaid attire and into gowns, but she really stood out,”Swann said Jenner. “I did not see any of the other bridesmaids or wedding party members, or even guests, dressed in this manner.”
“There’s a difference between fitting in and wearing attire that is acceptable for the occasion,”Jenner was her inspiration. “She certainly made a mistake in her selection.”

Swann later told Insider that KardashianWest also broke wedding etiquette by giving a speech at Huck’s wedding. She made reference to her separation from Kanye and her marriage to Kris Humphries. as Entertainment Tonight reported.
“It’s so nice to be here for a gay wedding. I haven’t been to one since my second wedding,”She referred to Humphries.
“When Simon asked me to talk tonight, I was a little bit confused because I, uh, haven’t really figured out this marriage thing myself, so I don’t know what advice I can give to you guys,”Kardashian West also stated the same.
Swann explained to Insider that Kardashian-West was guilty of talking about herself, and in particular her negative comments regarding marriage.

“Don’t make it about yourself,”Swann speaks of wedding speeches. “This really is the day for the bride and the groom, and it should really be focused on them.”
Swann also suggests that people take the following steps: “read the room” to see what kind of speech audiences will be comfortable with — which she thinks Kardashian West did successfully.
“The one thing that she did do right was that she read the room,”Swann spoke of Kardashian West. “It seems as though it was well-received, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that for everyone.”

Swann stated that the dance could have violated etiquette if others were made uncomfortable.
“Etiquette is about putting others at ease,”She said. “It is important for us to be mindful of how we make others feel.”
Swann advised that it is best to be cautious when planning a wedding, especially for celebrities.
“You are creating memories, not just for yourself for that moment, but also for the couple,”Swann stated. “You want to ask yourself, ‘What memory is this couple going to have about my presence at their wedding?'”
Insider reached out to representatives for Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian West but they did not respond immediately.
