Evelyn Boswell Case – Disturbing Details Reveal About Tennessee Toddlers’ Death

Details concerning the tragic death 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell have emerged. Her disappearance had been reported in February 2020.

Tennessee’s coroner said the baby died from asphyxiation and that she was wrapped in a blanket. A “mechanical obstruction”The forensic expert also stated that aluminum foil was also found in Evelyn’s airway.

Dr. Darinka Mileusnic Polchan, a Tennessee medical examiner, recently testified to the cause of the child’s death. According to the Knox and Anderson chief medical examiners, Evelyn was so tightly bound that there were indentations across her face.

The Sept. 28 hearing was held to determine which autopsy photos would be presented to trial jurors. Megan Boswell’s attorney argued that the gruesome images could influence panelists. She faces multiple charges, including murder and abuse.

Evelyn was found dead on March 6, 2020 on her grandfather’s land. He had contacted the state Department of Children’s Services on Feb. 18, 2020, saying he had not laid eyes on the baby since Thanksgiving. Investigators found out that Evelyn had been seen only once before, in early December.

Authorities said that the property had been home to several members of the Boswell clan, including Megan.

Brian Fraley, agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, also testified at the hearing.

“We received a call from the defendant’s father talking about property — a storage shed on the property,”Fraley spoke to the court. Fraley said that he believed it could have been of value to us to examine it and search for it. We responded and searched that. We found the body in the trash can, and there was a playhouse.”

Fraley said Evelyn’s remains were in a plastic garbage bag, with other bags piled around it. “”I observed a leg, and a foot attached to this trash,” he testified.

According to the coroner, Evelyn was in good health when she was placed head first into the trashcan. According to the medical examiner, Evelyn’s death was caused by her being incinerated with aluminum foil and blanket.

Fraley also said that Megan Boswell, Megan’s daughter, told investigators that she accidentally died from her injuries while sleeping in the same bed as Megan and her boyfriend. But Mileusnic-Polchan testified that Evelyn was too old to die in such a manner.

Megan Boswell, who pleaded not guilty and is currently being held without bail is scheduled to appear in court next Tuesday, Dec. 16. Her trial is set to begin in February.
