Employees at Avanti West Coast, Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Great Western Railway, Greater Anglia, LNER, London Overground, Northern Trains, Southeastern, Transpennine Express, and West Midlands Trainswill are all taking part in the strike.

The union’s general secretary Mick Whelan: “We regret that passengers will be inconvenienced for another day. We have come to the table, as we always will, in good faith but while the industry continues to make no offer we have no choice but to take strike action again.”

These strikes are why?

The Independent reported that the three major reasons the union is protesting are: pay, work conditions, and jobs.

Because inflation is at an all-time high, many people are requesting better salaries. They also want job security and compulsory redundancies.

It is not clear when the strikes will end, as they have continued for several months.

Also, is Friday November 25th, the day following Thanksgiving, a bank holiday or something else?
