BRITAIN’S most prominent prisoner is said to be planning a return to boxing with Tyson Fury once he is released.

Charles Bronson spent 47 years in prison and has maintained his health throughout that time.

Irene Dunroe, ex-wife of the armed robber, and jail brawler spoke about his vision during a call from Woodhill prison in Milton Keynes.

She added: “Charlie told me he agreed to a £100,000 comeback fight.

“He said ‘It’s honest money and getting in the ring with one person is like eating beans on toast’.”

Bronson spent a short time as a bareknuckle fighter during one of the brief stints he was outside prison in the 80s.

Irene asked how many people would be able to stand up against Bronson, despite their age.

Irene said: “How many will have the guts to get in a ring with Charlie? While he has a notorious reputation for violence, he’s very disciplined and hard to beat.”

He was initially arrested as a minor criminal and was sentenced to seven year imprisonment for armed theft in 1974.

He was finally sentenced to life imprisonment after he repeatedly attacked prison staff and took hostages.

Irene revealed that Bronson has hopes of singing on Britain’s Got Talent.

The 70-year old is even open to a duet with Dave Courtney, an ex-gangster with Irene. “he (Bronson) has such a lovely voice”.

Bronson is currently being held indefinitely and has not been released.
