Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga became a fan favorite when it released in 2020, and two years later, an anime adaptation of it was released. With season 1 being wrapped, fans have been eagerly waiting to see what the second season has in store for them. While we wait, there might be a little detail that anime fans may not be aware of and which was most likely also missed by the manga readers.
Chainsaw Man takes aim at Attack on Titan and more
It is not uncommon for manga writers to make a subtle dig against their competitors. Something similar happened in Chainsaw Man when Fujimoto decided to make a small remark against the authors of mangas such as Attack on Titan, One Piece, Black Clover, and many more.
In one of the chapters of Chainsaw Man, the author notes the list of all the victims who were killed by the Gun Devil. Amid this, we find names of Golden Kamuy, Satoru Noda, author of Black Clover, My Hero Academia author Yuki Tabata, Kohei Horikoshi, author of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, author of Attack on Titan, Hajime Isayama, and even author of Bleach, Tite Kubo.
It is unclear if the anime will be showcasing the entire list that was shown in the manga.
What we know about the Gun Devil
The Gun Devil is the main antagonist in the Gun Devil arc. Throughout the anime, we are given various details about the devil and how powerful he is.
However, as of now, the anime has not conceptualized the design for the devil. As of now, we only know that he is fast and has the ability to kill millions of people in five minutes. At the same time, it is known for its durability, which makes it harder for the devil hunters to kill him.
The Gun Devil is also Aki Hayakawa’s biggest enemy as it was the reason his entire family died.
What chapter of manga does season 1 end on?
As of now, season 1 of Chainsaw Man has covered the plot until chapter 38. Those who can’t wait for a second season can start reading the manga from chapter 39 titled Tearjerker to find out what happens next.
As of now, a release date for the second season has not been confirmed.
