Ariel Winter’s Stars On Mars Joke Would Make Alex Dunphy Cringe

Fans of “Stars on Mars,” will remember that, despite Ariel Winter’s excitement when she met Lance Armstrong (whom, once again, Ariel Winter mistook as an astronaut, who is dead since 2012.), the two rivals’ relationship went downhill almost instantly.

Ariel Winter, after an on-set argument in which Lance Armstrong suggested that trans athletes compete in a different category, called out Armstrong for “ostracizing” people who do not fit the categories. Adam Rippon, a fellow competitor of Winter’s claimed that Winter confronted Armstrong about his use of steroids off-camera. The Daily BeastI forgot that you had seven titles and an Olympic gold medal stripped from you. I forgot seven of your titles were taken away from you and that an Olympic gold was also removed.

Armstrong threatened to leave the show when Winter won the vote to become base commander. Armstrong declared, “Ariel: I do not need drama”, claiming that he would be unable to spend one more day at the Mars base along with “certain” people. Armstrong stayed through the episode but he was forced to leave “Stars on Mars”, Episode 9 citing his unwillingness to work with others. Ariel Winter was overjoyed when she first met Lance Armstrong. However, their experience on “Stars on Mars”, which ended bitterly, is clear.
