Are Law and Order: Organized Crime Preparing Stablers to Settle Down (Whether he Likes It or Not)?

Spoilers ahead for Episode 7. Law & Order: Organized CrimeSeason 3, called “All That Glitters.”

The Law & Order: Organized CrimeThe task force dealt with the case of some gold-smugglers in “All That Glitters,”Despite a serious criminal investigation, there were some moments of light in the case. Added to this, Jet Whelan going undercoverAs an engaged couple, an Italian cop called TiaWho has worked with them? StablerHis post-SVUYears passed, and I was reunited with him in an effort to close the case. The hour was almost over, and I began to wonder: “Is this the case?” OCDoing the impossible and getting Stabler settled down?

Admittedly, given that this is Stabler we’re talking about, “settling down”This could just mean that he is less wild and reckless than he was, rather than becoming more homely overnight. The twist is that he was also benched in “All That Glitters”It was beyond his control so he may not have the desire to settle. Between a comment from BellA new era may be in the near future for the former SVU detective, thanks to Tia’s arrival and his own realizations regarding his family.

He Can’t Go Undercover Anymore

Stabler spent much of Season 2 as an undercover agent, first as Eddie with the Albanian mob, then as himself to find his way into. the NYPD’s corrupt Brotherhood. Bell pointed this out in “All That Glitters,” Stabler’s face has been all over the news due to the Brotherhood trial, so ReyesHe had to perform an undercover operation in his absence. Undercover helped him escape his own problems, and allow him to go rogue with almost as little oversight as plain Detective Stabler. He realized in Season 3 that going rogue will not work anymore After a conflict with BellHe seems to be more or less comfortable with it.

He’s an Empty-Nester

Organized CrimeIt made me feel old for a long time. Law & Order: SVUEnjoy the reveal that Eli Stabler(Who was born in an unforgettable episode of SVU) was away at college. Stabler also disclosed that his mom has been living with her grandkids since a month. He said that he was an. “empty nester”Tia. Some characters might think that suddenly living in an empty nest means the opposite of settling down. But Stabler was more reflective than ready for a midlife crisis and some wild oats. It seems that instead of wanting to enjoy not having any kids or his mom on hand, he’s – to quote Tia – a “lonely bird.”

Tia called Stabler to ask for a drink at the end. Stabler was unable to stop himself from asking where she was. He had to decide whether to let her in after she made some suggestions or not. Earlier in Organized CrimeAlthough I can see Stabler opening it without much internal debate, the episode ended with the two characters on opposite sides of that closed door. Fans ultimately didn’t see whether he did ever let her in, but the last thing he did in “All That Glitters”I let out a huge sigh.

There’s no indication that Ayelet ZurerIt is returning to Organized Crime To reprise her role of Tia, it is unlikely that this was the beginning a story about a relationship. This may have been meant to say more about Stabler’s character (and increased willingness to settle down) than setting something up for them in the long run. Plus, PromoStabler says that his next episode will feature him. “heart and soul are in this place”In response to the possibility of the task force being shut down. Could he do some soul-searching?

Or am I optimistic about Stabler being more self-aware since he returned for his spinoff? I’m self-aware enough to know that I’m also hoping for a Benson/Stabler reunion after he makes some realizations about himself, and there’s no news of another crossover on the way. I’d settle for some Their relationship will have more crossover-free nods, though!
