This week, we will be discussing his inspirations for the character. “I have always wanted to play a Charles Bronson kind of character. They’re fun.”

He was not only the movie’s star but also co-produced it and wrote the script along with Paul Solet, the movie’s director.”Bullet Head”), and created the movie’s hip-hop-infused score.

Brody claims he had to raise his own funds to save the movie from its main investor who died.

Insider: You’ve spent decades contemplating this role. What was that moment?

Adrien Brody:Yes, it was. There were many times along the way when I needed to get off the stove or shit. [Laughs]

Let me have one of those moments.

As a producer, I have responsibilities to raise funds. We were already well into preparation when our main investor failed to show up. This was my window. I trained for this to get very jacked, and I had to do it now. We were short of money. So I had no choice but to be strong and do the work.

What was the price you had to fork out?

This is too personal. [Laughs]Are you kidding me? I was all in.

Brody believes there is enough action for him, Keanu Reeves and Liam Neeson.

“Clean”This is in line with “John Wick;”A bad guy who sets out to follow the right path, but then something happens. Did you ever think, “Shit, I missed my window” when you saw Keanu Reynolds in that movie? “Clean?”

No, no. Keanu is my favorite. This is a unique role. I love it. “John Wick.”This is a completely different movie. This area has room. There’s enough space for Liam Neeson, Keanu, Adrien Brody, and Adrien Braody. [Laughs]

It will surprise many people to learn that you composed the music for this movie. You’ve been creating music privately for many years. It was difficult to make this movie with something you love.

Yes, it is not without its challenges. But not in a creative sense. I’m always striving to create. When I’m not working, I paint and make music. Living through the pandemic made me realize that everyone has made significant changes in their lives to follow our passions.

It’s been 30 years since I first started making music in my bedroom. It was possible to show it in other places, but either I didn’t have enough time or I resisted the chance. It felt right to make this movie. After shooting, I would return home and make tracks that were right for the movie.

Brody said that he felt it was right to use his own music in the movie.

You weren’t originally trying to score the movie.

It evolved over the course of post-production. This was not a grand vision. My friend, who is a great musician, was my inspiration for the film’s music. It was planned to have a piano solo score and a classical piano music score. Paul Solet, director of the project, had other ideas.

However, the music I hear comes from the same tap as the original tap. “Clean”He is a landscaper. Because music is such a personal passion, I felt it was the right thing to do. It was also the most honest way for my storytelling to be enhanced.

In your movie you have Wu-Tang Clan member RZA as the pawn shop owner. You ever heard him play music?

RZA and myself have discussed making music. But I wanted RZA to be in this because of his acting skills. I invited people I love and admire. He has heard much of the same stuff as I have.

Brody said that he hopes to one day direct movies.

So do you feel “Clean”A franchise can look like “John Wick,”Do you have the desire to direct a sequel to your film?

It’s a beautiful question. It would be a great movie to make people think and feel something. This character is a dream for me. It’s so much of my life. Through the whole pandemic, we worked together on this.

I would love to direct. As an actor, I have worked quite a lot lately. So the difficult thing about directing is it’s a multi-year endeavor, so you have to put down everything else in your life to devote what is necessary to do it properly — especially a directorial debut. So I have been cultivating. It’s just that I haven’t yet applied it.
