Despite the Academy Awards being held back in March this year, the buzz surrounding the event has not slowed down due to The Slap viral incident. This is when Will Smith went on stage and slapped Chris Rock, a national TV presenter. Plenty of folks (including the hosts) have weighed on in the situation, and now Zoë Kravitz has gotten honest about why she made her slap comments, and how she feels about the decision months later.
Zoë Kravitz was one of the guests in the room at the Oscars when Will Smith and Chris Rock had their infamous confrontation. She posted the caption to her Instagram post that night, along with her look. “Here’s a picture of my dress at the show where we are apparently assaulting people on stage now.”The Big Little LiesThe actress later deleted the entire post and spoke out to the Wall Street JournalLet’s talk about her feelings about how quick she was to weigh in on the situation. Kravitz said:
I’m torn about what to say right now, because I’m supposed to just not talk about it; I have very complicated feelings around it. I wish I had handled that differently and that’s OK.
