Wynonna Judd Opens Up About Her Mother’s Death

Wynonna Judd states that she remains “incredibly angry”Naomi Judd killed herself months after her mother died.

“I did not know that she was at the place she was at when she ended it,”Judd spoke to CBS News’ Lee Cowan about CBS News Sunday Morning. “Because she had had episodes before and she got better. And that’s what I live in, is like, ‘Was there anything I should have looked for or should I have known?’ I didn’t.”

The interview is available here CBS News Sunday Morning is Judd’s first following her mother’s death and comes just ahead of Judd’s upcoming tour beginning September 30, which would have been the Judds reunion tour.

Cowan was told by Judd that she will likely be angry “for awhile”It is because she was unable to help her mother before her passing.

Naomi Judd, who was a victim of an accidental gunshot wound that she had inflicted on herself, died April 30, 2018. Her family previously disclosed that she was being treated for PTSD, bipolar disorder and other mental disorders.

Her description of it: “a new chapter”Judd stated that her mom was the reason she interviewed for this interview. “told me one time, ‘my life is better because of you,’ those are the memories that are starting to come through, more and more.”

Judd claims that she and Ashley Judd, her sister, are also actors. “are so united right now, I think more than we’ve been so in a long time.”
