WWE Legends’ DVD Set Gives The Ultimate Dose Of Relive To The Fans With Its Sensational Stories!! (Review)

WWE Legends' DVD Set Gives The Ultimate Dose Of Relive To The Fans With Its Sensational Stories!! (Review)

Earlier this year, A&E aired eight different documentaries on WWE legends. And now all eight Biography: WWE Legends films are coming to DVD this week. WWE fans were able to see some of their favourite Superstars as they watched the films this summer. This gives them the chance to revisit the stories at any time they wish, which is never bad.

There are four films per volume. The eight films have been split into two DVDs. Volume 1 includes biographies of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and Booker T. Volume 2 takes a look at the stories of Shawn Michaels, Ultimate Warrior, Mick Foley and Bret “Hitman” Hart. Each volume has two discs. Each DVD contains two movies. Each film is approximately 90 minutes long, so fans can enjoy their fair share of entertainment.

And while the goal of these documentaries is to entertain, WWE and A&E wanted to let fans know how these Superstars made their way into the world of professional wrestling. Booker T, a WCW star, tells his story about how he was robbed at Wendy’s and then went on to become a World Heavyweight Champion. Austin, another Superstar who made his mark in WCW, talks about how difficult it was to become the top man in WWE. Mick Foley tells the origin story about Dude Love, his alter ego.

Three of the eight legends are gone, including Piper, Warrior and Savage. Each film features family members and friends sharing their journey to WWE and the difficulties they faced. While the tragic lives of three legends were ended, the films demonstrate how loved they were by everyone.

The DVD set has no bonus features. This is the only problem. It would have been nice if there was some extra content not included in the original broadcast. The DVDs contain nearly eight hours of content, so fans are getting more value than they pay for. It’s not known if WWE and A&E will feature more biographies on legendary Superstars. WWE has a long, rich history. It’s not surprising that they would like to make another series of films.
