Wiz Khalifa concert ends early due to reported disturbance

After a disturbance reported possibly involving a firearm, a Wiz Khalifa concert in Indiana on Friday was cancelled. The security personnel prompted the attendees to evacuate, resulting in three minor injuries.

According to a Facebook post from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the disturbance was reported at 10:28 p.m. at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, in Section 5 of the lawn.

“Security staff responded quickly, and all the subjects nearby began exiting the area on foot,”The police statement was continued. “The emergency action plan was initiated and followed, and all gates including non-public exits were opened. Subsequently, the venue patrons self-evacuated.”

The Ruoff Music Center, an outdoor amphitheater that Live Nation Entertainment owns and operates, has a capacity for approximately 25,000 people. It also includes lawn seating and ticketed seating. Khalifa performed about 45 minutes into the show, as part of the Vinyl Verse coheadlining tour. His set was the final of the night.
