WILLIE Garson was filming for his final Sex And The City scenes just weeks before his death – as he was spotted on the New York set.
The actor, who passed away at the age of 57 on Tuesday following a short battle with illness, had been acting alongside his HBO co-stars in August.

Willie played played Stanford Blatch – the best friend of protagonist Carrie Bradshaw, depicted by Sarah Jessica Parker, in the iconic series.
He is scheduled to appear in And Just Like That’s spin-off series. Willie was seen filming along Sarah Jessica, 56, last month.
Willie was busy working on the revival and was photographed with Mario Cantone, his husband on-screen, while filming in NYC.
For August 2, the scene saw Willie in a three piece suit and dark tortoiseshell shades.
For the scene with Mario (61) and Sarah Jessica, the Hawaii Five-O star was being followed by crew and cameras.
The star was seen taking his breakfast to a nearby cafe, before filming began.
Willie was on set for several weeks. He was seen on July 24, wearing a bright blue suit while he and his co stars were filming at the Lyceum Theatre.
Sarah Jessica, Carrie Bradshaw’s actress, gave him a gentle kiss. She looked glamorous in a cream suit jacket with a midi skirt.
Bosch actor Titus Welliver shared the news about Willie’s death via a Tuesday post, which included a photo of the beloved actor and a photo.
“There are no words. I love you dear brother. We are fewer,” Titus wrote to his following, as Willie’s adopted son Nathen, 20, spoke out in another touching tribute.
“I love you so much papa. Rest in peace and I’m so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much. I’m so proud of you,” he wrote.
Mario, the co-star of Mario’s show, publicly grieved his friend and wrote: “I couldn’t be happier with a better TV partner.”
“I’m devastated and just overwhelmed with sadness. Taken away from all of us way soon. You were a gift from the gods. Rest my sweet friend. I love you.”
According to unconfirmedTMZsources, Willie had been battling pancreatic cancer before a short battle with illness caused his untimely death.
Willie was Parker’s gay friend and appeared in 27 episodes over the six seasons. The series ran from 1998 to 2004.

It was recently revealed that Boogie Nights star Nicole Ari Parker will step into Samantha’s Jimmy Choos on the set of the new Sex and the City reboot.
Ari Parker will play Lisa Todd Wexley, a “Park Avenue mother of three”.
Parker will be joined by Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes), Kristin Davis and Charlotte York as costars for the new reboot, And Just Like That.
Chris Noth, her love interest in the show Mr Big will also be returning.
A leaked script recently revealed whether Carrie Bradshaw & Mr. Big are still married or divorced 13 years after their wedding.
The fate of the long-time TV couple is revealed in the HBO Max series. It has been more than a decade since they tied the knot in the first Sex and the City film.
Page Six revealed the juicy details from the show’s leaked script, in which Carrie and Mr. Big have split and are “in the midst of a bitter divorce.”
Fans of the show rooted for the fictional couple through their many ups and downs in the series’ six year run.
Carrie and the entrepreneur eventually said “I do” at a court house after Mr. Big stood his bride up on the day of their over-the-top New York City Public Library wedding, as told in the movie.
However, Carrie, now in her 50s and a podcast host, appears to be at odds over her finances with her husband in the reboot.
The marriage appeared to be rocky on screen in the Sex and the City 2 movie where Carrie had a brief connection with her ex-fiancé Aidan Shaw, played by John Corbett, who she ran into while on a girls trip in Abu Dhabi.
After Mr. Big gave her a huge black diamond ring, the pair reconciled.
Taping for the 10-episode limited series began in June in New York City, including the original main cast, except Kim Cattrall’s character Samantha Jones.
The revival has not yet been released.
