The Yellowstone Universe continues to grow with a host of spin-off shows. But the main series is back for its long-awaited fifth and final season.

The new installment opens with John Dutton being sworn-in as Montana’s governor. He takes office to stop Market Equities building an airport at Yellowstone Ranch.

With John Dutton’s new role comes a raft of fresh faces he has to meet and one of the key new arrivals in season 5 is Clara Brewer – but what do we know about this new Yellowstone character and the actress who plays her, Lilli Kay?

Yellowstone season 5 plot preview and release date

Season 5 of Yellowstone debuted on Paramount Network USA on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Paramount+ International followed the show a day later.

The new chapter begins with John Dutton being sworn in as the governor of Montana and while his new role safeguards Yellowstone Ranch against Market Equities’ plan to build an airport on the land, it has well and truly riled up their CEO, Caroline Warner.

Warner is determined to bring down the Duttons, their ranch, and is ready to bring in big guns.

While John’s new role as governor has given him more power, it has also put a bigger target on his back than ever before.

Clara Brewer is a Yellowstone woman.

In episode 2 of Yellowstone season 5, Clara Brewer is introduced.

She works at the office of Montana’s governor and as a result, is John Dutton’s new assistant.

In the second episode, she first appears as John searches for changes and hires Beth to be his chief of staff.

Brewer is only a minor character in the opening episodes, but she will likely be a key player when she works alongside John Dutton and the Duttons while Market Equities intensifies their efforts to destroy Yellowstone Ranch.

Meet Lilli, the actress from Yellowstone

Lilli Kay assumes the role of Clara Brewer at Yellowstone.

Reportedly Lilli was born in Brooklyn and her first acting role was in Paterno, an 2018 TV movie.

Since then, the rising star has appeared in some increasingly big-name productions including Madam Secretary, Netflix’s Chambers and Showtime’s Your Honor where she appeared alongside Bryan Cranston as the character Fia Baxter.

Lilli is active on social media like many actors in today’s industry. InstagramHer following is currently just over 14,000. This number will likely grow given her prominent role at Yellowstone.

Lilli posted an August behind-the-scenes photo from Yellowstone. She captioned the image “simply the best.”
