The single mom-of-2 says she’s gone through months of suffering and even received a diagnosis to help her three-year old, she feels helpless.

Konrad has tonsils so large that they block his airway. He needs surgery.

The Lancashire mom says it has been a long journey to get that answer.

She said, “It is just awful. I have cried so many times calling the hospital, which has been exhausting.

“It’s just so hard seeing your child so poorly, and knowing that you could put him to bed one night and he might wake up all because of his tonsils.”

She claimed Konrad was sickened for eight weeks after he contracted a mysterious virus at seven months of age.

One night, she got an alert from her sleep app. She went to check on him, and discovered he wasn’t breathing.

She described how her little boy’s tonsils caused him constant pain and made it difficult for him to breathe.

Katie said that she would also find him with bloody gums and covered in blood.

The mother claimed that she spent months trying to find answers and was nicknamed an “anonymous” mom. “overprotective mother”She even lost her job.

Konrad was then diagnosed by his family. Katie believes Konrad may need surgery and will have to wait for it for at least a year.

She stated, “It doesn’t just affect me and Konrad; it also affects his brother Colton Joe.”

“There have been occasions when Konrad fell ill in the middle of the evening, and I’ve had them both get up in the morning.

I feel helpless.

“Even one time Colton-Joe had to come in the ambulance with us, and then get picked up from the hospital by a family member.”

Katie called Katie in the recent months “very frustrating”.

She said, “You love your children more than any other thing in the world, so you would do anything to help them.”

“But I just feel like there is nothing I can do.”

Katie’s older sister, Sasha Marsden, was tragically killed at 16 years old in 2013. The family hosts an annual rounders tournament in her memory.

Katie stated, “We decided that we would raise money in memory of my sister. We were supposed to raise money to support Macmillan.”

“But the organisers said that if Sasha was given a choice, she would want to help her nephew so the money went to Konrad’s surgery instead.”
