What Time Is She-Hulk Set on the MCU Timeline, Exactly

Mild spoilers “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” follow below, although if you’ve seen any of the trailers you probably know what we’re getting into.

Every time there’s a new entry in the increasingly expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe, the question pops up: When does take place, exactly? You’ll probably be asking yourself this question with the debut of this week’s new Disney+ series “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.”

After 2019’s blockbuster “Avengers: Endgame”The Marvel Cinematic Universe introduced a five-year time jump, but the timing of its release has been up in the air. The same movie introduces time travel, and the idea that there is a multiverse. These concepts have been explored further in films like “Loki”And “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” (and will soon take center stage, once again, in next year’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”).

“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” doesn’t get into any multiverse stuff, but it does drop in some new details that both clarify, and muddle, the timeline a bit.

‘She-Hulk': Tatiana Maslany Says ‘Joyful, Feminine Energy’ of the Show Feels ‘Revolutionary’ in MCU’s ‘Boys Club’ (Video)

Many of the episodes of the original episode of “She-Hulk”This documentary is dedicated to Jessica Walters (Tatiana Maslany), a everyday lawyer who became a superpowered force for nature. It also includes her relationship with Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo). Banner is back in Smart Hulk mode. He actually explains to Jessica what he did to heal himself after the events that occurred in “Avengers: Endgame”Remember that Bruce was the one who triggered the first snap that brought everyone back. This greatly injured his arm. It was all thanks to his science skills. However, this admission casts doubt on the timeline (more details in a minute).

Walters is assigned a case that involves Emil Blonsky, Tim Roth’s villain known as the Abomination in an episode from earlier seasons. In the mostly forgotten episodes, the Abomination was at center stage. “The Incredible Hulk,”It was also released in the summer of “Iron Man”It’s possible to believe it. He was presumably in prison since then. He did however appear again, which further establishes his innocence. “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” takes place.

There’s a moment in 2021’s “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,”Our hero ShangChi (Simu Luu) goes to Macau’s underground fighter club. Shang-Chi is seen looking around the club, spotting various fighters. This sequence is adorned with Marvel Easter eggs and references to the Black Widows and Extremis super-soldiers. “Iron Man 3”And much, much more. He finally makes it to the main stage and sees a gigantic monster (hello Abomination!) fighting a man. This is Wong (Benedict Wong), the current Sorcerer Supreme in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But how is this possible? But how?

This moment becomes a crucial plot point. “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” which we don’t want to give away for obvious reasons. But it’s clear that the show and “Shang-Chi”They can take place simultaneously, or at least partially.

But not only “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”This provides us with the context we need, but it also forces us to question some of our assumptions.

‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ Review: Disney+ Series Is a Hilarious, Rewarding Gem

For the post-credits scene “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,”Bruce appears human-like, but with his arm in a strap. This scene appears to be set immediately after the events of the movie. The Abomination fight scene happens after Jen is a hero after she has been trained by Bruce-as Smart-Hulk. Is this really possible?

One plot point can be found “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” that could explain this, but we’re not entirely sure if that works either. And it’s too big of a spoiler to discuss now.

Thankfully (so far, at least), time travel and the infinite multiverse hasn’t been introduced into “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,”This would make things even more complicated. It occurs in the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity. This simplifies the situation to a certain extent. When is the actual event? Our best guess is that it will be sometime in the future. “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law”It will take place in 2023/2024.
