Which houses are allied with Aegon’s The Greens and Rhaenyra’s The Blacks by the end of the House of the Dragon season 1 finale?

After some initial negotiations, the House of the Dragon ended with a war between The Greens led by King Aegon II and The Blacks, helmed Queen Rhaenyra.

While the war will be devastating for all Westeros’ peoples, it will also take a toll on the great houses that have allied with both sides. They will need to prepare their bannermen for civil war.

So at the end of House of the Dragon episode 10 which houses have allied with The Greens and which have allied with The Blacks?

Which houses are associated with The Blacks’?

We see Queen Rhaenyra attempting to find allies in the House of the Dragon’s final. ‘The Greens’Around the Painted Table. She wishes to find out who is on her side before she sends them off to war.

These houses are now vacant after the finale of season 1. ConfirmedRhaenyra should be sided with you ‘The Blacks’.

Daemon also revealed that he still has loyal men in the City Watch but could not say how many after the recent coup.

The House of the Dragon TV Show features the Greens as a three-headed green dragon. However, the book depicts them as a golden three-headed dragon. Reference to Aegon’s dragon, Sunfyre.

Which houses do you still have to pick?

Rhaenyra, as previously mentioned, is optimistic of acquiring House Arryn, House Tully, and the upcoming conflict. However, there are many houses where it is still up to them to select which heir they will send their bannermen.

These include House Stark or Baratheon. House Baratheon was technically confirmed to be on the side of The Greens after the end of episode 10.

It is important to note that House Stark’s acquisition means that many Northern houses will be joining the group, for “With House Stark, the North will follow.”
