The year 2013 will be a time of change. Prichard Colón One of the most promising boxers on the rise. At just 21 years old, he turned what was a hobby into a career. He began his professional career in 2013, when he entered the boxing scene.

Prichard and Terrel Williams fought in October 2015. Both men fought in typical style. All sports are capable of causing serious injuries, even when everything goes according to plan. Prichard almost lost his life due to a foul during his last boxing match.

What happened to Prichard Colón?

Terrel hit Prichard several times. The hits he delivered were actually multiple blows to the back Prichard’s skull. Prichard’s words were not noticed by the referee, and when he said anything, he was told to handle it himself. Prichard’s continued to fight after the doctor at ringside gave him permission.

Prichard collapsed and began vomiting after the fight because of internal bleeding caused by the trauma he received to the head.

Prichard fell into a 221 day coma. He was in a coma for 221 days. He was bedridden. It was later revealed that part of the skull actually had collapsed and pressed on his brain.

It was possible to perform surgery on the skull to remove that portion and replace it with a plate.

Is Prichard Colón alive?

Prichard has survived his horrible coma but he will never be the same. Prichard had to have a hemisphere cranialotomy which removed part of his skull. It is a very difficult recovery for someone who has undergone such an operation. Prichard was forced to attend physical therapy. Prichard’s mother is his primary character because he has limited functionality.

Prichard’s professional career has ended as a consequence. No one has ever heard of him returning to the boxing ring. It is highly unlikely that he will ever return to the ring. This would also be very dangerous. Prichard tried to seek compensation for his suffering.

Prichard Colón is suing the ringside doctor.

Prichard according to ESPNThe ringside physician was sued for damages of $50 million. The doctor is accused of negligence, according to him. It is even alleged that the doctor committed medical malpractice.

He also sued the organizers of the event HeadBangers Boxing & DiBella Entertainment. Prichards believes the doctor is not qualified to practice medicine and that it was the fault of the promoters for employing an unqualified doctor.

The fight should have stopped there [in the seventh round]John Stiller’s, a physician/neurologist told ESPN After reviewing the footage of the fight. After reviewing the footage, the doctor stated that Prichard would have had “the best opportunity to limit his evolving injury” if the fight was stopped there.
