These TEXT scams are becoming more frequent and cybercriminals sometimes resort to old tricks to get you out.
The fake millionaire text message scam is again on the rise.

This is a recent example of the scam.
The message is sent from an unknown email address. This should raise suspicions in the receiver.
The contents of this message are also alarming.
It isn’t addressed to anyone specific and clearly has been sent to several people.
The message contains the usual trick of someone pretending they have won lots of money.
In this case, it’s £155million ($128million).
The claimant says he is from an Irish family that has won Euromillions.
They believe that they will win the lottery and are therefore texting strangers in order to share their wealth. “was a gift from god”.
The scammer demanded that you email your name and address as well as your phone number, along with your marital status, occupation, marital status, and phone number.
They advise you to send the entire message to a different email address.
Another red flag.
Strangers don’t need all your personal information.
This information can expose your personal data to theft and can lead you to losing money due fraud.
Scammers may ask for basic information before asking for banking information.
You could be impersonated online by them using some of the information that they requested.
When you get a message like this, ignore it and then delete it.
