Warner Bros. Discovery condemns J.K. Rowling’s threat over Rushdie

Warner Bros. Discovery released today a statement supporting the decision. Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling, who was threatened by a Twitter user for her anguish at last week’s attack on fellow author Salman Rushdie.

“Warner Bros. Discovery strongly condemns the threats made against J.K. Rowling,”Today, the company made these remarks. “We stand with her and all the authors, storytellers and creators who bravely express their creativity and opinions. WBD believes in freedom of expression, peaceful discourse and supporting those who offer their views in the public arena. Our thoughts are with Sir Salman Rushdie and his family following the senseless act of violence in New York. The company strongly condemns any form of threat, violence or intimidation when opinions, beliefs and thoughts might differ.”

Rowling sent a tweet on Friday about Rushdie being attacked at a speaking event. “Feeling very sick right now. Let him be ok,”Rowling wrote.

Twitter user replied with a threat “Don’t worry you are next.”

Rowling directly tweeted this message to Twitter: “Any chance of some support?”

Rowling later thanked his supporters and stated that Rowling was proud of the work they did. “Police are involved,”She claimed that they were on previous threats to her.

According to reports, Rushdie was taken off a ventilator. He is now speaking. He is being held in New York without bail. The attacker faces attempted murder charges.

Rushdie, author of the novel The Satanic Verses Ayatollah Khhomeini, the Iranian leader of the late, threatened Rushdie with his death in 1989. Rushdie was charged with “insulting Islam”His novel. Rushdie went into hiding shortly after it was first published. Rushdie has been less secure in recent times, which may have contributed to the attack last Wednesday.
