Wakanda Forever: Black Panther has a big Endgame issue that nearly ruins Namor’s story

Black Panther: Wakanda ForeverThe film is finally in theaters around the world. The highly anticipated Black Panther 2Launched on Thursday, the story may have been known by many people already. Whether you saw it or you’re about to see it, you might realize that Wakanda ForeverIt has a massive EndgameNamor (Tenoch Uerta) is in danger of being ruined by this kind of issue

Namor is Marvel’s newest villain — a mutant leading a powerful underwater nation that’s been living in secret for hundreds of years. Wakanda is a bigger mystery than Talokan. Marvel has tried to avoid portraying Namor as a full-blown evil villain in his future MCU adventures.

But Marvel seems to have forgotten an incredible detail in Namor’s history which should not be missing from a movie like Wakanda Forever: Everything that took place on Earth Infinity WarTo Endgame. Before we explain this plot issue, we’ll warn you that Below are big spoilers.

The main Black Panther 2Conflict

We’ve known since the first trailer that the next Black Panther will fight Namor (Tenoch Huerta) in Wakanda Forever. Therefore, we’ve known the war would be the most important conflict in the sequel.

Marvel told the world, “The main action is in Black Panther 2 happens one year after the death of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman). Therefore, it’s well after Endgame.

Separately, a huge Wakanda ForeverLeakage of plot DroppedIt was discovered that Namor reaches the surface of the ocean because vibranium has been used to make her appear. Years later, the events took place. EndgameThe world wants vibranium. It will not get it in Wakanda.

It turns out there’s vibranium in the ocean, and the Talokan has used it to develop their own underwater world.

Riri (Dominique Thorne), gifted teenage inventor of a revolutionary vibranium detector sets the stage for the rest of the revolution. Wakanda Forever. Namor plans to kill Riri in order to stop the world discovering his nation. And he wants Wakanda’s help to wage war against the surface world.

That’s the gist of the story and the reason why the two nations will go to war. After all, nobody would expect Wakanda to find Namor’s requests reasonable.

The big EndgameDetails Wakanda Forever ignores

Namor seems to care deeply about making sure that his people are protected. Just as Marvel said, he’s a hero in his own mind. He doesn’t set out to conquer the world; he responds to perceived threats. He does this impulsively, however.

Given the 500 year ago events that afflicted his people, it is easy to understand why he feels hatred for the surface world. That’s the kind of trauma that doesn’t go away, especially in a world that’s secluded from others, impervious to other opinions and perspectives that could reshape minds and help people heal.

Marvel doesn’t mention Thanos (Josh Brolin), who did it in Marvel’s All-Star Movie. Infinity War. With the help of the Infinity Stones, the Mad Titan decimated half of all the living creatures in the universe. It was all done in dispassionate and fair ways. The stones chose objectively who lives and died.

This logic would have meant that half the Talokan population had to have been ash-dwelled in the ocean. There was no safe place to hide from Thanos’s snap. It not only killed people, but also birds and fish. Namor would have seen all this, but not known what was happening. Perhaps he was also dusted.

Half of the Talokan would be alive five years later. Namor and his family would have had the time to fully understand what had occurred. You will also realize that the Avengers overcame a different Thanos in order to preserve all life on the surface. Talokan life included.

Speaking of the Avengers, the lack of Avengers activity in Wakanda Forever is the film’s big plot hole and a troubling theme for Marvel’s MCU Phase 4.

Marvel’s solution Black Panther 2Issue with plot

With that in mind, Namor’s fierce hatred toward the world just a few years after EndgameFeels unjustifiable. He’s not a psycho who can’t help himself but be evil. It seems selfish to go after Riri, after all that the Avengers did for them. Talk of waging a war against the surface seems even more worrying when you consider Endgame.

Namor should be thankful that the surface helped him and his people by fixing a problem he couldn’t have. He could have done it if he was alive during the blip.

Shuri (Letitia Wing) doesn’t try to make that point, while reasoning with him as to how the surface world helped Talokan. Namor may not like it.

Marvel is dying to leave EndgameIts MCU stories. But you can’t ignore that world-ending event that marked the entire universe. It’s like moving on after COVID and pretending the pandemic years never happened, or that they did not influence everyday life in ways we couldn’t have foreseen in early 2020.

Marvel can still resolve this plot hole. The end of Wakanda ForeverIt is clear that Namor expects to continue playing a part in any future surface wars. Marvel has plenty of time to describe what Namor was doing during this period. Infinity War Endgame. Why is this? Wakanda Forever indicate he didn’t care that much about the huge debt he has to the Avengers.
