Viola Davis is seen in the first trailer for “The Woman King”

Viola Davis and Gina Prince-Bythewood, writer-director, have finally released the trailer for their historic epic film “The Woman King,”Due in theaters this September

The trailer was shown to CinemaCon attendees in April. Nanisca is played by Davis. She is the leader of an all-female militia that protects the Kingdom of Dahomey. As an ominous voiceover explains, that militia is the kingdom’s weapon “that they are not prepared for.”

We don’t quite know who “they”You are not yet. That same voice also explains. “an evil is coming that threatens our kingdom.”Viola Davis is ready, as are her trainees.
