Netflix Announces New Docuseries ‘Receiver’ Featuring 5 Star Pass Catchers
Netflix has announced a new docuseries that will give fans behind-the-scenes access to some of their favorite pass catchers. Following the success of the docuseries ‘Quarterback,’ Netflix has reunited with NFL Films, 2PM Productions, and Peyton and Eli Manning’s Omaha Productions to create ‘Receiver.’
Behind the Scenes Access to Star Pass Catchers
The docuseries will consist of eight episodes, each 45 minutes in length, covering the 2023 seasons endured by five star pass catchers. Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders, Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions, as well as Deebo Samuel and George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers will all feature in this exciting series.
Production and Content Details
“We are excited to be working again with Netflix and NFL Films to give fans unprecedented access to what it’s like to play receiver at the highest level,” NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton said. The series is produced by NFL Films, 2PM Productions, and Omaha Productions who previously created ‘Quarterback.’
Highs and Lows of the 2023 Season
2023 was a tough season for Jefferson’s Vikings, finishing third in the NFC North with a 7-10 record. Adams and the Raiders experienced a mixed season of extreme highs and lows, with Adams racking up 1,144 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. St. Brown of the Lions won his first division title in three decades and was named a First-Team All-Pro, finishing the season with a career-high 1,515 receiving yards and ten touchdowns.
