Unveiling the Hidden Games on Your iPhone: Google’s Secret Treasures
Google has tucked away six games inside your iPhone – and there’s every chance you’ve missed them. They’re all totally free to play and can give you hours of fun.
FIRST GAME – DINOSAUR GAME
One of the most famous Easter eggs that Google has hidden on your iPhone is the Dinosaur Game. It’s designed to entertain you when you’ve lost your internet. So it’s great if you’re stuck on an airplane or your Wi-Fi is down – or if you’re just a little bored.
To get it, turn your Wi-Fi and cellular internet off, or switch Airplane Mode on. Now load up any website and wait for it to fail because you’ve got no internet. An error page will appear with a small dinosaur icon visible. Tap the dinosaur, and it’ll start running, then keep tapping to make it jump. You’re supposed to run and jump to avoid the obstacles and earn as high a score as possible.
SECOND GAME – PINBALL
But wait, there’s more! Google has also slipped a secret game into its main iPhone app. Go to the App Store and just look for the Google app if you don’t have it already. Launch the app and then tap on the Tabs icon at the bottom of the screen. Start swiping your fingers and thumbs quickly upwards on the page.
Do it right, and a secret pinball game will appear. Tap on the left and right paddles to flick them in a bid to keep the ball aloft. You’ll earn points by breaking shapes, and lives are lost if the ball drops between the paddles. Once you’re out of lives, it’s game over.
AND THE REST…
If those games aren’t enough for you, there are some codewords that will unlock another four. Go into a web browser and head to the regular Google search website. You can type in Snake, and a version of the game will appear. The same trick will work if you type Solitaire, Tic Tac Toe, and even Pac Man. So if you’re a fan of arcade classics, this is the trick for you.
