Unleash the Magic in March 2024: Princess Peach to Dragon’s Dogma

Top 10 Most Anticipated Video Game Releases in March 2024

Despite the incredible games launched in 2023, the beginning of 2024 seems to be just as strong. We’ve got several 90+ rated games released already this year, and March is not slowing down. There are a huge number of big releases coming this month, with a genre for everyone to enjoy. Here are all the major games that will be released in March 2024.

WWE 2K24 – Exciting Additions and Controversies

Following the successful launch of WWE 2K23 last year, fans are excited by a new addition to the series. There have been controversies with Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon that have made the release of the game a bit shaky. However, the developers have worked hard to rectify this, and it is still set to be a big launch. WWE 2K24 will launch on March 8 for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Unicorn Overlord – A Modern JRPG Experience

Developed by Vanillaware who made Dragon’s Crown, Muramasa, 13 Sentinels, and Odin’s Sphere, and published by Atlus, Unicorn Overlord is set to be another amazing JRPG release. Battles take place in real time, and are based in an old-time fantasyland similar to other Vanillaware games. This modern take on tactical gameplay has been 10 years in development and the demo has been well received. Unicorn Overlord is a Nintendo Switch exclusive game launching on March 8.

Contra: Operation Galuga – A Remake of Nostalgia

Five years after the last release in the Contra series, Operation Galuga is a remake of the first Contra game. The original levels have been kept intact, but new stages, enemies, and mechanics are also included. It has been remade completely in 3D with added cutscenes, and a co-op mode to give new ways to play. Contra Operation Galuga will be released on March 12 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Alone in the Dark – A Modern Horror Remake

A remake of the 1992 game that launched on PC, Alone in the Dark aims to bring the classic horror title into the modern era. Starring Jodie Comer and David Harbour, this is a remake with new story elements and updated graphics. Made in a style similar to the Resident Evil remakes, this horror story will be one to watch. Alone in the Dark will launch on March 20 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Princess Peach: Showtime! – A Classic Character Returns

The first game where she plays the protagonist since Super Princess Peach in 2005, Showtime! hopes to put her back in the spotlight. In Princess Peach: Showtime!, Peach will put on costumes and take on the role of different jobs with new powers. Each level showcases a different ability as you explore this 3D action-adventure. Princess Peach: Showtime! is a Nintendo Switch exclusive launching on March 22.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 – The Long-Awaited Sequel

The original Dragon’s Dogma was released in 2012, so players have been waiting a long time for a sequel. In this action RPG, you will fight alongside your party of NPCs in the hopes of solving the conflict between two kingdoms. It’s set in a seamless open world that will reportedly be four times larger than the original game. Dragon’s Dogma will launch on March 22 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Rise of the Ronin – A New Soulslike Adventure

Rise of the Ronin is an upcoming soulslike, and a brand new IP created by Team Ninja. You’ll be able to explore Edo, Yokohama, and Kyoto while fighting others with weaponry that was common in the time period. There will be a number of ways to explore the environment, as well as a three-player co-op mode. Rise of the Ronin is a PS5 exclusive releasing on March 22.

South Park: Snow Day! – A Unique Spin on a Familiar Franchise

Following on from Stick of Truth, and Fractured But Whole, Snow Day! doesn’t follow the style of these previous two successes. Rather than following the art style of the show, the characters are now in 3D and will take part in snowball fights. The concept seems similar to the 1998 South Park game, which was critically panned, but it could surprise us. South Park: Snow Day! will release on March 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
