Uncover the World’s Largest Mailbox, Rocking Chair, & Golf Tee in a Tiny City of 2,000 Residents!

The Incredible Story of the Town with the World’s Largest Objects

Small Town, Big Impact

A small town resident is making a big impact on his community. Though people might say “everything is bigger in Texas,” it’s a midwestern town breaking size records.

Big Things in a Small Town

“When we started doing all of this, world’s largest record, building objects, we kind of made a slogan for our small town,” Jim Bolin in a YouTube video shared by KHMO AM 1070. “It’s big things in a small town.”

Tourist Destination

He might live in Casey, Illinois, which is home to only 2,000 inhabitants, but his giant ideas have put the tiny town on the map. The area is now a tourist destination for travelers from around the country.

Unmissable Attractions

If you pass by, you certainly won’t miss these attractions: the world’s largest wind chime, golf tee, rocking chair, and knitting needle. And it’s not all just for show. Jim can regularly be spotted sitting in the chair and stirring the wind chimes. The town is even home to a jumbo mailbox.

World Record Holder

Just how big is it? The biggest in the world, earning it a Guinness World Record. “This changed our town tremendously,” he said. People can even see some of the larger-than-life objects right off the interstate. “They just can’t believe all this stuff,” he said.

Global Recognition

The town is even listed as one of the weirdest states in the country by Ranker. People now come from all over the world to visit the attractions. The community’s most famous resident waves from the larger-than-life rocking chair.
