A feeling out round to start the fight as most of the big attempted punches are blocked. Yadong secures a takedown late in the round which might seal the deal early on for him. Yadong looks like the faster opponent in the fight at this point as we head to round two!
Yan vs Yadong – Round Two
Yadong comes out aggressive and drives Yan into the cage but the fight goes back to the middle of the octagon. Yan has started to find some of his striking range as he connects on a few jabs and uppercuts. Yadong’s threat of the takedown has Yan hesitant but he has been successful with his defense stuffing 5 of 6 attempts. In the final minutes of the round, Yan secures a takedown of his own and elbows Yadong near his left eye leaving a bloody gash.
Yan vs Yadong – Round Three
Yan looks like the more lively fighter in the final round with more energy. Yadong has slowed down but continues to walk Yan down with a bashed-up face. Yan has put on a striking clinic from the second round on and has drastically improved his takedown defense. In the final minute, Yan secures another takedown and mauls Yadong to close out the fight.
