Two planes collide with each other during the Dallas Air Show

Two planes collided in Dallas, Texas during Saturday’s Commemorative Wings over Dallas Show at 1:20 p.m.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress aircraft and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra crashed into each other at Dallas Executive Airport. Social media video shows the moment of impact, while others react in shock.

It’s reportedly unclear how many people were onboard each aircraft. According to The Dallas Morning News an official for Dallas Fire-Rescue stated he was not aware of the status or injuries among the passengers.

Eric Johnson, the mayor of Dallas, posted this tweet. “As many of you have now seen, we have had a terrible tragedy in our city today during an airshow. Many details remain unknown or unconfirmed at this time. The@NTSB has taken command of the crash scene with @DallasPD and @DallasFireRes_q continuing to provide support.”

Johnson followed up with a tweet: “The videos are heartbreaking. Please, say a prayer for the souls who took to the sky to entertain and educate our families today.”
