BRITISH holidaymakers are warned to expect temperatures up to 42C.
Spain’s national weather service has issued an “special alert” today for the rising temperatures until the end of this week.
Heat alerts in orange and yellow have been issued for most of the nation and its Islands over the past weekend.
In the Valle del Guadalhorce (between Malaga & Marbella), temperatures could reach 42C.
As Spain basks under a heatwave, orange weather warnings will cover more than 30 areas by Monday.

Forecasters have said that conditions are expected to become “heatwaves” starting Sunday.
The agency said that temperatures will rise gradually in the Balearic Islands and Peninsula in the next few days.
“[This is] Due to a strong insolation over a stable and warm air mass, causing onset of sweltering heat from Sunday onwards. This will be felt by the peninsula’s northeast quadrant and basins along the Great Rivers.

AEMET also warned people about the advice from the Ministry of Health on hot weather.
Forecasters say that there’s a high degree of uncertainty in the weather after Wednesday, but hot temperatures could be on the way out.
