Alex Webber is an actor-aspirer who claims he was rejected from The Juilliard School. TikTok has been flooded with negative reviews of the performing arts school.
On December 27, Webber revealedHe had an audition for Juilliard’s drama program.
Webber posted the video of him auditioning for Juilliard. Final updateHe shared what he thought was his school’s rejection letter.
“Dear Axel, on behalf of the Juilliard division, thank you for your interest in our program and for sharing your talent with the faculty during the initial audition,”He read. “As you are already aware due to our callback process, you are no longer under consideration for admission for fall 2022.”
Webber’s fans sent messages of encouragement to Webber and outraged at his rejection in the aftermath of the news.

Google reviews about Juilliard are not publicly available at the moment. Insider also did not receive a response to our request for comment.
Yelp is a review site. Reviews for Juilliardtemporarily blocked. The site displays an alert that reads: “This business recently received increased public attention in the news, which often means people come to this page to post their views on the news rather than a first-hand consumer experience.”
The site received a one-star rating from a user who recently reviewed it. “If I could give you a zero, I would, but that is not possible, so I give you a 1. Due to the non-acceptance of Axel Webber. Your audacity has been noted by over 2 million people.”
Insider was informed by a spokesperson from Yelp that the company had stated, “When a business gains public attention, consumers may come to Yelp to express their views on the news through reviews — also known as ‘review bombing.'”They also added “These reviews can artificially inflate or deflate a business’s star rating, sometimes misleading consumers and hurting businesses.”
According to the spokesperson, unusual activity alerts are added to pages whenever they occur. “uncover an influx of activity on a business’s Yelp page in response to the business gaining public attention.”
Juilliard’s Instagram account is filled with responses to Axel’s rejection. The school’s top comment was on its latest news. Instagram post reads, “justice for axel,”It has over 40,000 likes.
Webber’s fans have received support from celebrities as well.
Singer-songwriter Charlie PuthPosted a TikTok Message to Axel “I do think school is great… but a prestigious conservatory for the arts is not going to be the thing that defines your career as an actor.”

Webber published another article on January 12th TikTokWith #SorryJuilliard caption. He is urging his followers not to criticize Juilliard.
