‘Throuple’ cut off from family for being ‘ungodly’ planning to have a baby

A ‘throuple’ revealed how they were disowned by their families for being in an ‘ungodly’ relationship – but are now planning to have a baby.

High school sweethearts Joel Forchue, 24 and Mickey Pagan, 22, met in Rhode Island, USA, in 2015 and quickly took an interest in each other.

The pair started dating and their relationship remained strong after high school as they began to plan a life together.

A ‘throuple’ is a relationship involving three people.

According to Fabulous, Mickey had always known she was bisexual and Joel would joke around with her, saying he was going to have ‘five wives’ and ‘babies everywhere, of every nationality.’

But one day Mickey suggested they find a girlfriend together.

In September 2020, Joel met Jaida Cutino, 22 on MeetMe, an app that allowed people to chat and make friends.

Over time Mickey realised she also had common interests with Jaida. The couple would wait for Jaida to come online to chat with her and Jaida would also wait for them.

In November last year, Mickey and Joel asked Jaida to be their girlfriend and shortly after, Joel proposed to Mickey.

However, despite the love they all share, Jaida and Joel have lost contact with their mothers over the relationship.

Jaida said: “My family don’t agree with it, they say a man is supposed to be with one woman and there’s not supposed to be extra partners.

“I used to get really upset and hurt about it because I’m a big family person and there was a point where I was really depressed and unhappy about the situation.

“I still hope one day they’ll accept Joel and Mickey but I don’t see it moving in that direction.

“Sometimes my family will invite me to a party but tell me to come on my own and that I shouldn’t bring the people I love.”

The ‘throuple’ are often told they’re ‘going to hell’ or called ‘ungodly’ but the trio hit back and say they go to church and pray before they eat, when they wake up and when they go to bed and feel incredibly close to God.

Mickey said: “People say we’re not godly because of our relationship but we’re incredibly close to God and try to be closer and closer every day.

“If one of us gets pregnant, Joel wants to get the other pregnant so we have kids at the same time and can go through the pregnancy together.

“We haven’t got anything planned – but at the same time it’s kind of planned.”

The throuple say there is no favouritism in the relationship and they all treat each other as equals.
