1. Free access to thousands of movies, TV shows and other entertainment
Roku supports almost every streaming service, but Roku owners also have unlimited access to thousands hours of content.
You can download many free FAST (ad-supported TV) services from the Roku Channel Store. But, The Roku Channel is the most popular. The Roku Channel offers thousands of movies and shows on demand, as well as over 300 linear channels that cover news, sports and music.
2. Cast videos directly from your smartphone
Did you ever want to move quickly from a small screen to a larger one while watching a TV show on your phone? If you own a Roku device, it’s a fairly easy process. When you tap on the screen while watching a video on a compatible app, you’ll see the cast button in the corner of the frame. You should be able find your Roku within the menu by tapping on it.

It is important for many of us to be able to customize our home screens on our smartphones, tablets, and computers. You can also add your TV to this list by using a Roku. Your Roku offers a number of theme packs that can change the look and feel of your device’s interface. The background, the screensaver and navigation sounds are all affected by theme packs. 5. Volume leveling is a way to protect your ears
Loud commercials can be so annoying that I turn off my TV whenever I see one. This isn’t an ideal solution, which is why I was pleased to learn that Roku has a built-in feature to alleviate the issue. If you go to Settings >Audio > Volume ModesYou can enable Automatic Volume Leveling “to hear more consistent audio levels across various types of entertainment.”This feature is not available on select Roku devices.
