When Meghan McCain ultimately quit ABC’s The ViewHer personal life was in transition at the time. The TV personality was just a mom and was due to return to work. The ViewWhile she was still trying out different life options, However, Joy Behar’s co-star was not happy to see her when she returned. According to McCain, she wasn’t subtle about it either.
Megan McCain has been off of television since last summer, but she’s still made public appearances since then, recently appearing on Podcast from The Commentary Magazine. She shared her thoughts about the “lack of nuance”In mainstream media, a candid interview touching upon her The ViewShe recalled the straw that caused her to quit the daytime television show, and she also shared her experience. She stated that she was on maternity leave, enjoying her life, but Joy Behar’s interaction on her first day back left her with a bitter taste in her stomach. She replied:
Joy Behar spoke on air the day that I returned to the show. ‘Nobody missed you, we didn’t miss you, you shouldn’t have come back.’ I began hysterically crying. Sorry gentlemen, but I did start lactating on the air. It was hysterical and I began to cry. I was extremely hormonal. I went to work and vomited. I called my brother in [sic]Arizona on a farm, and he said, “f these people.” It’s not worth the effort. It’s not worth it anymore. That was it. Joy said it on air, “Nobody missed me” when I returned from maternity leave. When I had my baby, I didn’t feel supported. I didn’t feel supported coming home. That was it.
This is actually a public record. Meghan McCain returned to work after maternity leave. The ViewJoy Behar and she got into a fight during a show that was being broadcast at the time. During the conversation, which happened to be about whether or not there should be more than two political parties, Meghan McCain joked, ‘You missed me so much Joy.” Behar then deadpanned:
I didn’t. You were not missed by me. Zero.

The last year has seen an increase in The ViewShe has continued to hold a conservative slot in the panel of hosts. But, no replacement for Meghan McCain was announced until recently. Instead, the show has only begun to push for a permanent replacement. The ViewElisabeth Hasselbeck, who had been fired from the show, was replaced by Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
